With the harvest season approaching, many energy storage projects of Shangneng Electric are speeding up. The first 100 megawatt energy storage system integration project will soon be put into operation in Ningxia. The energy storage power station is invested and constructed by CNNC Huineng, and a whole set of integrated solutions is provided by Suneng Electric, including 30 sets of 3.45MW/6.7MWh energy storage system, highly integrated energy storage converter, lithium iron phosphate battery system, BMS and other core equipment, with a total capacity of 100MW/200MWh.

This project is located in Weizhou Town, Tongxin County, Ningxia. It is the first grid-side and the first liquid-cooled large-scale energy storage project in Ningxia, and also the first 100MW shared energy storage power station invested by CNNC. It is expected that after the project is put into operation, it will further optimize the local industrial structure, enhance the capacity of peak and frequency regulation of Ningxia power grid system, promote the consumption of renewable energy, and improve the flexibility and reliability of power grid operation.

Compared with new energy distribution storage, shared energy storage power stations have higher and stricter requirements for components and system integration schemes. This time, through the centralized integration, non-walk-in battery prefabricated cabin system design, to achieve higher overall energy density, smaller footprint, less investment costs, easy installation, commissioning and operation and maintenance work. At the same time, the three-stage fire control system is designed to effectively guarantee the safety and reliability of the power station through multiple lines of defense, such as electric cored mica heat insulation, pack level early warning detection, and system level perfluorhexanone gas fire control + water fire control immersion extinguishing. In addition, based on the design of energy storage liquid cooling temperature control system, as well as the design of multi-stage distribution and cluster temperature control technology of pipelines, the internal temperature difference of the system does not exceed 5℃. The liquid-cooled plate is equipped with stamping technology and wide runner design to ensure that the temperature difference between packs does not exceed 3℃, further improving the system life, reducing loss and enhancing safety. In addition, Shangneng Electric adopts high weather resistance box, extreme temperature resistance, sand resistance, high altitude resistance and other performance is remarkable, the formation of layers of "protective wall" to make the power station assets safer, more efficient management, more reliable income.

It is worth noting that the 1500V 3.45MW centralized energy storage converter and voltage boost integrated machine supplied by Suneng Electric for this project has been widely recognized and favored by the market, and has been widely used in photovoltaic + energy storage, wind power + energy storage, power grid side, independent energy storage and other scenarios. Up to now, this series of energy storage PCS has been applied 1.5GW+ in total. The high security, strong reliability and excellent economy are fully verified. According to EESA and CNESA rankings, Suneng Electric ranks first in China in terms of shipments and newly installed installations of energy storage converters in 2021, and is accelerating its overseas expansion with its profound accumulation of energy storage technology and application experience to contribute to the high-quality development of global energy storage.
