STDC learned that at noon on November 4, Inner Mongolia Dazhong Mining Co., LTD made an announcement that the chairman of the company signed an investment cooperation Agreement with the head of Linwu County People's Government on the company's investment and development of lithium resources in Linwu County.

According to the announcement, Dazhong Mining and its holding, equity and cooperative enterprises plan to invest a total of 16 billion yuan in Linwu County, Hunan province to build lithium carbonate, lithium iron phosphate and lithium battery production projects. Among them, 4 billion yuan will be invested in the mining and beneficiation project, 2 billion yuan will be invested in the production base of 40,000 tons/year lithium carbonate mining and smelting, pipeline transportation, new building materials, and the production base of 160,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate cathode material. In addition, 10 billion yuan will be invested in the production capacity construction of 20GWH lithium batteries. The project is located in the lithiumbearing polymetallic ore resource distribution area of Xianghualing, Linwu County and Industrial Development Zone of Linwu County. The construction of the lithium battery project will start at the end of December 2022 and the trial production will take place in December 2023.

After the completion of the resource survey organized by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, the government promised to allocate 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate resources according to the standard of every 5GWh battery project, and allocate lithium polymetallic resources to the medium and large mining industry, including supporting the medium and large mining industry to obtain the lithium polymetallic exploration rights in the empty area of the target area through legal procedures.
