On December 8, the Jurong Island Energy Storage Project in Singapore, the largest energy storage project in Southeast Asia, was officially put into operation.

It is understood that the project is located in Jurong Island, Singapore, with a total planned capacity of 200MW/200MWh, divided into two site construction, and two new 66 kV booster stations.
Since the signing of the general contract on June 15, 2022, Shanxi Institute has actively coordinated the allocation of resources, efficiently interacted with numerous interfaces, and rapidly promoted the project schedule. After five and a half months of hard work, the two sites were successfully connected to the grid with full capacity on November 20 and November 24 respectively. The whole project passed the system performance test and acceptance acceptance of the Singapore Energy Authority before November 30, and was ready for commercial operation, ensuring the completion and commissioning on schedule.

The project will help Jurong Island build a new operation mode of large-scale energy storage system and strategic emerging industry cluster, and actively promote the transformation of Jurong Island into Singapore's sustainable chemical energy Park. It is an important milestone for Singapore's 2030 carbon reduction goal and the construction of clean energy solutions.
